こんにちは！ 北谷オフィスです！
ぜんざいがおいしい季節になりましたね！
沖縄県外の人は「え？ 真夏にぜんざい？」と驚かれる人も多い（というよりもほとんどでは）と思いますが……沖縄のぜんざいは県外のぜんざいとはまったく違うんですよ！
県外のぜんざいは温かく、寒い季節にいただきますが、沖縄のぜんざいは正反対で、かき氷が入っています。初めて見たらカルチャーショックを受けること間違いなし！
と、のっけから食べ物の話題から始めましたが、今回は食べ物の話がメインではなく、北谷オフィスの職員さんについてご紹介します。その名もS.Nさん！
彼は穏やかで親しみやすいのですが、実は「ミュージシャン」という側面があり、長年、ベースギターを弾いています。
それも、皆さんには馴染みがないかもしれませんが、「1970年代パンクロック」という、実にマニアックなジャンルが大の好物だそうです。
おおよそ50年前のジャンルなので、「ぱ、パンクロック……？ 何ですかそれは？」と驚く人も少なくありません。
ただ、パンクロックだけが好きなだけではなく、幅広いジャンルの音楽を聴いており、他のジャンルにも非常に造詣が深く、音楽好きな利用者とは非常に話が合います。
実はこのブログの執筆者も大のロック好きで「あ～、Nさんとバンド組んで、大音量で演奏したいなぁ」と思っているほどです。
彼が職員さんとしてのお仕事をきちんとこなしているのはもちろんですが、その実パンクロッカーというギャップが、むしろぜんざいよりもカルチャーショックを受けてしまうかも？
そして、実は北谷オフィスにはもうひとりパンクロッカーがいらっしゃるのですが、その方については、またあらためてご紹介しますね！
北谷オフィスはすぐ近くに海が見えるアラハ公園があり、とても景色が良いところに立地しています。

Hello from Chatan Office!
It’s the perfect time of year for Okinawan zenzai, that delicious iced red bean soup!
You might be thinking, “Zenzai in the middle of summer? Seriously?!” if you’re not from Okinawa. (And trust us, most people outside Okinawa are surprised!) But here’s the thing: Okinawan zenzai is completely unique from the kind you’d find on the mainland!
So, on the mainland, zenzai is usually served warm in the winter. But here in Okinawa, it’s the total opposite! Our zenzai has shaved ice in it. If you’ve never seen it before, trust us, it’s a real culture shock!
We started off talking about food, but this time, the main topic isn’t food at all. Instead, We’d like to introduce you to one of our staff Members at the Chatan Office: Mr. S.N!
You’ll find him calm and friendly, but get this: he’s actually a musician and has been rocking the bass guitar for years! Since it’s a genre from about 50 years ago, many people are surprised and ask, “Punk rock? What’s that?”
Although he loves punk rock, he also has a deep knowledge of many other music genres. This makes him a great conversationalist for anyone who loves music!
Confession time! The author of this blog is also a huge rock fan, especially of 1970s punk and hard rock. It’s almost as if this author is thinking, “Man, it would be awesome to form a band with Mr. N and blast it super loud!”
Don’t get us wrong, he does his job perfectly as a staff member. But the fact that he’s secretly a punk rocker? That might give you a bigger culture shock than our zenzai!
Believe it or not, there’s another punk rocker at the Chatan office, and yes, it’s a lady rocker! We’ll tell you all about her in a future post.
